As everyone ravenously gobbles up all the new “Epstein Files,” released with redactions galore by the Department of Justice (hey, I tried to warn you!) please enjoy this discussion I recorded yesterday with Ian Maxwell, a man who I’m sure has many noteworthy traits in his own right, but for our purposes is most relevant because he happens to be the brother of Ghislaine Maxwell — perhaps the most high-profile inmate in the federal prison system.
The Jeffrey Epstein case has become a billion-dollar industry exploited by a variety of grifters, including politicians on both sides of the aisle. Sad to see that justice seems to be given only lip service when it should be given the most honored place.
I agree - Maxwell was railroaded. I've read the transcripts of the trial and what you say is right on. They couldn't get Epstein because he was dead so they went for a scapegoat. One juror claimed she was convicted because of Carolyn Andirano's terrible life. Andriano admitted in court that she was a schizophrenic and delusional. She also claimed to have been raped by her grandfather as a child. Nadia Bjorlin's testimony was credible but she'd never named Maxwell and had made differing claims as to whether it was Epstein or Maxwell who approached her initially.
I take it you have not read the 3 Epstein dumps, court docs, affidavits & depositions from 2016-2024 that have been unsealed. Its amazing that it is always people that refuse to educate themselves on what really transpired show up with one sided comments.

Evidently the Palm Beach police and state prosecutors thought it wasn't unreasonable to ask certain teen girls whether they had consented to the massages or sex they gave Epstein in exchange for cash. I can't dredge up a whole lot of sympathy for Ghislaine, who seems to have been a bit of a sleaze, but it is clear that her trial was a joke.
I thought it was intriguing to hear Ian Maxwell describe Epstein as being a man with a kind of "dark charisma." Probably accurate.
