Even if Epstein was a celibate eunuch, Chomky's reputation should still be damaged by his bromance with an arms dealer, Israeli spy, and con artist, who couldn't write a coherent sentence in an email but pretended he was a scientist. You have repeatedly suggested that Epstein was gawfully intelligent, but all the public information about his thinking (his writing and interviews) that I have observed shows the exact opposite. When a con artist is a billionaire and otherwise decently intelligent people are drooling over him regarding his intellectually stimulating conversation and ideas, it may have less to do with his intelligence and ideas and more to do with his money and perceived status. Why do you believe Noam Chomsky and the other "smart people" must not be affected by this common human sin? Have you considered you may be affected by it yourself?

Apropos of the Epstein Affair we should pause and remember Joseph McCarthy, who we are often told was an utterly flawed person who led his destructive witch hunt in the 1950s. We shook the USA upside down looking for loose change of Communists to fall out of the sofa cushions. A few Communists were found and not a few people's reputations and careers destroyed.
Looking backward to those days it seems to me that McCarthy's "Communists in the State Department" had more reality about it than today's florid hysteria about non-existent sex trafficking by "powerful men". Are we becoming even more credulous than we were at the height of Cold War anti-communist hysterics?
No doubt, there are many unsavory "Powerful Men". Why do we have to postulate "Satanists" in order to understand America's current cultural pathology? Isn't the banality of evil almost always the best understanding of why things in this country are as fucked up as they are, and why it just seems to get worse with every decade?
P.S. I have a modest proposal. Make Epstein's tax returns public. Current law makes this impossible, but doing so would answer many "unanswerable" questions stoking the hysteria. While we are at it, let's make everyone's tax returns public as is the practice in several Scandinavian countries.

Also, they did reveal Sarah Kellen (assistant) and Leslie Groff (secretary) specifically told these girls they were unable to go there unless they were 18. Tons of info out there, If you dedicated that much time on Wiki, you really would benefit from the legitimate court docs out there. Many individuals and institutions are willing to pay in order to avoid court proceedings and exposure of embarrassing details. And now even having your name mentioned in the same sentence with Epstein is embarrassing and suspicious. 200 of so-called survivors and accusers, who “bravely” came forward to get paid and whose identities have not been revealed, settled with JP Morgan for $290 million. I am sure many more survivors and their attorneys will as bravely line up for their checks. Rich and famous and thief banks will never run out of money. If they do, we are all in trouble.

I appreciate Michael's Tracy's careful accounting of the easily accessed above board documents. But I wish he would devote some of that energy to look into the email references to things like the importation of "hairless thai coconuts" as well as references to "pizza and grape soda" after taking ED meds, and of course all these "beef jerky" recipes, for example.

I said the same thing. Had anyone bothered to look into Epstein personally, he had a thing about eating. If he ate, he only ate organic. Also, he apparently did not eat in restaurants. This came out in the first or second dump, Woody Allen said the same thing. His staff as well said he rarely ate.
