I don't know if Wendy has false memories or if she just came out to get the money. I do know what the girls interviewed by police said, that they were paid to give Epstein massages and got more if they did it in the nude or partially clothed. A couple reported actual sexual contact but they were the ones who had become part of the group he called back. Personally, while I have no problem with keeping the identies of MINORS secret while they are minors, not revealing the identity of plaintiffs is asking for fraud. Lisa Phillips is a definite fraud. The woman has told so many versions of how she began massaging Epstein, I doubt she knows herself. Yes, she gave him massages but did it happen the first night she was on his island or was it after she knew him for a while and he "groomed" her. The3re were a lot of problems with "recovered memories" in women in their late 30s and 40s in the 1990s, with women coming out claiming they had been abused by their fathers and suppressed it. Look, I was molested as a child (not by a parent)- you DON'T suppress the memory. You NEVER forget it. Money is responsible for all kinds of "memories" that never happened.

Anti Semite. Small minds. w0e-MEN grifting on rape is a FAR MORE serious phenomenon then right-wing conspiracy theories about Israeli influence on American politics., while I do see pandering to Israel I also see pandering to police and pandering to w0e-MEN as well. I can disagree with these things and still defend the TRUTH. And that is what Michael is defending. The TRUTH. These HOES are LYING.

Anti semite isn’t the cudgel you think it is. It used to be a weapon. Now it’s just something Northern Europeans that steal things say to scare people. Fuck you and cunt Michael Tracy. If you think Epstein’s connections to Israel are a conspiracy “theory “ , but simultaneously believe that Epstein didn’t use the women involved for blackmail, you’re a retarded cunt too. But the truth is that, like any Zionist, you’re in league with Satan.

People don't question because they don't take the time to read claims she has made. In a documentary I saw recently, she claimed Epstein "groomed her" and coerced her into giving him massages. Then somewhere else she claimed Epstein called for a massage the first night she was on his island and the friend who had brought her there, another model, took her to his cabin and they massaged him. Then there is Sarah Ransome, who has made all kinds of claims. She is a former Scottish whore who moved to New York to try to become a model. BTW, these idiots throwing shit at you have no clue. None of them have ever read a single document pertaining to the case. They're just a mob brought to excitement by unscrupulous journalists and podcasters who are just out to get followers.

Why is this author so invested in defending Epstein?

Expand full comment
New Way's avatar

He's not defending Epstein in any way. Epstein is dead. He's defending truth and reality. He's exposing those that choose to deceive for personal gain, allowing for completely pointless mass hysteria. Anyone who knowingly lacks reverence for the truth or leads other people astray from the what is real, is poisoning society and their own life. If they are lucky, they'll one day discover that their torment comes from this inauthenticity

Michael is not defending Epstein.

He is simply practicing actual journalism, in questioning those who claim to be "survivors."

If they are legit, then they should be able to describe what went on. They don't have to go into lurid detail, but to continually refuse to answer any questions about what they allegedly endured is a bit sketchy.

I am still in favor of releasing all the Epstein files, & I have no idea what you're referring to with your "limited in scope" remark on journalism.

I have never asked for anyone to "stop slandering Epstein," and I am NOT a Trump cultist. I have also never seen Trump bungle anything as badly as he has this issue. I have no idea what he was up to, other than possibly protecting fat cat donors' associations with Epstein being uncovered -- whether they did anything untoward or not.

Very interesting post. Your work is laudable and necessary.

It is ironinc that "survivors" demand transparency in the Epstein files (a demand also made to the Catholic Church with their respective documents), but these "victims" are not transparent at all about their own cases. Unfortunately, no trial can be made, so there is plenty of room for them to be as opaque as they like. I think that once they *decide* to go public with this, there is an ethical resposibility to be transparent about telling what happened exactly, especially when the other party cannot defend himself. What they are doing is to make the snowball bigger. It triggers speculation and taboo.

You speak about these "survivors" getting very generous compen$ations. But you didn't mention that they are promoting a huge campaign to fund and develop comprehensive sexual education for teenagers and to pass a bill about sex education in schools. (sorry, I was being sarcastic here...)

I understand these articles are quite profitable for Michael Tracey, or profitable enough anyway, but it's such a terrible combination of poor journalism and pretend lawyerism that I'm not really sure if Tracey believes his own arguments. Not that there are many arguments made so much as unfocused speculations that merely aim to seed as many doubts as possible that would render virtually any victim of any crime a completely unreliable.

This article hits all the key notes: anti-therapy, mental health stigmatization, meal ticket insinuations, etc. Much can be critiqued in this single article that could fill a book, so I'll only, briefly, focus on one point:

"If so, was she told to lie about her age and say she was 18?"

The underaged girls lying about their ages as an out were neither convincing in the criminal investigation nor lawsuits. Given that Epstein was an intelligent, savvy, middle aged man who would, as victim depositions indicated, turn away girls if they had verbally to him confessed being under 18, it would be reasonable to believe Epstein would have taken much greater precautions to ensure the ages of individuals were, at least, the age of majority.

And, of course, Tracey frames the discourse as innocent, investigative journalism instead of what it that is: preying on the lost who are easily distracted by identity politics as he champions the cause of the capitalist class.

So we’re supposed to believe that decades of federal probes, reporting in Vanity Fair and New York magazine going back to 2002, contemporaneous labelling of “Pedophile Island” and “Lolita Express” by Virgin Island locals, airport staff, pilot testimony etc was all elicited by lucrative settlements that did not exist at the time? That Epstein used his media contacts to quash reporting of a big nothingburger? That the lies and evasions of Clinton, Prince Andrew, Bill Richardson, etc etc were much ado about nothing? Give me a break?

Lolita express and Pedophile Island were coined post media frenzy. Guiffre lied about Dershowitz so she probably lied about Andrew and anyone else she names. She chose to work for Epstein and was forced to suffer through private jet flights around the world in luxury and all expenses paid to the best massage school at the time, located in Singapore or nearby. In the process, she met her husband and started hanging out with him instead. The last thing Epstein said to her was "Have a nice life" or something to that effect. Later she reimagined her time with Epstein as something negative because she would get millions for doing so, and sparked all these nonsense narratives about him, which led to him killing himself. Life dispactched her appropriately.

According to Grok: “False. The nicknames “Lolita Express” for Jeffrey Epstein’s Boeing 727 jet and “Pedophile Island” for his Little St. James property in the U.S. Virgin Islands emerged from local observers during Epstein’s active years—well before the major media frenzy sparked by his 2019 arrest and death—not as retrospective inventions amid the heightened coverage.”

Expand full comment
New Way's avatar

Also according to Grok: The phrase "Lolita Express" first appeared in public discourse in March 2011.

It was coined by Gawker media journalist John Cook in an article published on March 9, 2011, titled “Here Is Pedophile Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s Little Black Book”. In that piece, Cook wrote:

“Epstein’s jet, which he famously used to ferry Bill Clinton and other prominent figures around the world, was nicknamed the ‘Lolita Express’ by locals on Little St. James, Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.”

It's likely he pulled that out of his @$$. His claim that it pre-existed is not evidence of it. Not enough to use as any proof of Epstein's involvement in underage sex trafficking.
