Humans are liars, plain and simple. It’s a painful thing to witness, as our author demonstrates with great regularity. I avert my eyes, can’t handle it, not even close.

If you look, really dive into the details you will see duplicity and obviscation .

Bad, BAD hombre is something to be proud of Michael!

@Savannah:

I can fix you, woman! Get in touch!

That psychotic lying city clerk is yet more proof that you just have to assert your will in these situations. These activists are EVERYWHERE and justify every little trick they pull. Good for you for speaking out anyway.

"At first glance, the word 'bad' seems simple, it usually means something negative, unpleasant, or poor. However, in slang, 'bad' can have a completely different meaning. Depending on the context, people may use it to describe someone who is impressive, attractive, talented, or exceptionally cool." [https://awesomerply.com/bad-meaning-in-slang/]

You bad, man, you very bad...

Well written and funny article.

One question; you were not a resident of Ithica, nor a student there or parent of a student.

So why do you think you merited the right to speak to the council and mayor?

Out of curiosity did any of the other journalists in attendance get on the speakers list and speak?

Do you think there's some prohibition on non-Ithaca residents speaking at public meetings in Ithaca?

Well they didn’t check ID’s. But the function of that meeting was the mayor and city officials gathering public comment on a proposed ordinance change. This is a matter by and for locals. Why would the input from non involved persons?

It wasn’t a press availability.

Were you concerned that your eagerness to be platformed for no reason related to the purpose of that meeting would further your reputation as a provocateur?

Your action to extract attention by force probably did.

*Why would they want input from non involved persons? (Sorry I am presently in a raging nightclub)

"to the extent any “GQ readership” even exists in 2026, which is questionable "

Honestly 😄

Haha. I will be honest Michael. When I saw it was GQ I thought it was a hit piece on your fashion sense. He doesn’t dress metrosexual with Armani suits

I first ignored Gentleman's Quarterly on principle, when they promoted kipper ties, and have remained steadfast to that principle ever since.

It would hardly be amiss to consider their calumny a badge of honor.
