Whatever one thinks of the person (I do think that she lacks character, but it is not something that people can conjure out of thin air), she is not the main villain here: those are the prigs that hounded her until she cried rape so as not to be forever shamed by her own "community" as a slut, the money grabbing lawyers, and more in general the truly sick culture in which so many people wallow today, right and left, up and down.
It is a shame, a true shame, that all sense of measure seems to have been lost.
Not the lawyers are the biggest villians here but her peers (moslty female) that slut shamed her right after that night. And she quickly realized that the only way not to be a "wh**" is to become a "victim". Because MeToo was never about feminism, it was about modern day puritanism.
Couldn't agree more Kathrzyna Carceral feminism is behemoth. Images of Anime-like octopus, looming skyward, come to mind. Tentacles probing lives; sweeping up families, kids, communities, along the way. Chewing everything whole. Spitting out a heaping mess of damage.
Keep up the good work. Solid, follow-the-facts-wherever-they-lead reporting, while out of fashion in these times, is never easy but more necessary than ever. Thanks.
You are an upright guy, Tracey.
