Agreed, as you stated, they care nothing of the country and its citizens, just about beating Trump and Republicans in order to stay in power.

I'm still mystified at how Biden could be deemed too confused to be held responsible for mishandling classified documents, but still qualified to govern the US.

Great piece!

I'm not a MAGA, I'm a mad-uh. Mad at both parties' continued partisan warfare that serves to hide the dangers you lay out and the danger to the US economy.

The Dems have clearly shown they are best at rigging elections. I live in Texas where LBJ stole the Dem primary for US Senate in 1948 -- "ballot box 13."

Glenn Greenwald's show last night --the last 30-minutes -- jolts the memory lapses (dementia) of Democratic voters who ignore their own rigged elections for fear of the Trumpster -- think Bernie, Dean Phillips, and more Glenn lays out so well.

The Democratic Machine has given rise to the "terrible" GOP's populism (a good thing), and now madness and vengeance. The Texas GOP is on its way to shooting its own self and losing one-party rule.

Trump proved in the debate that he can land a punch -- he has a sound mind -- but still has a sick (vengeance filled) heart. "It's time for vengeance" is the very recent subject line just used by Texas Attorney General, a key Trump ally.

The let's get real about Trump. If he does what he is pledging do to extend tax cuts, which has some key billionaires giddy, we are also danger. Politics and economy are inseparable.

Then there's RFK, Jr. who claims to be an anti-interventionist, but is the most virulent Israel supporter of all.

I am beside myself looking for a way out. You and other indie writers, give me hope.

We ordinary folks need some additional tools to create honest and competitive elections in the U.S.

It's 4th of July. Let's have at it!

I don't understand how an extension of Trump's tax cuts (which benefited my working class family & myself, none of whom earn more than $50K/annually) will endanger the economy.

We, Texas Indies, have been studying and watching the federal budget since the old Perot days, written about it and followed a variety of budget wonks. Perot warned about this 30 years ago and its even worse than predicted. This is a long and complex discussion. For now, I refer you to this page at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget: https://www.crfb.org/papers/trump-and-biden-national-debt

We at League of Independent Voters of Texas are working on an article we hope to see published at our site soon (LIVTX.org) and the Independent Political Report, that makes this kind of information more easily digested by ordinary folks.

And, of course, there's always a debate on economics, which is fine and good.

Thanks for asking!

Addendum: Sorry, I should have given you a taste of Perot's warnings about the debt and trade deficits is, essentially the chickens will come home to roost in our inability to meet the needs of our population (infrastructure and entitlements, for example) and a devalued dollar. More to say about "debt crises."

It is shocking the discussion on Biden’s staying in the race when he clearly should be out of the Presidency NOW.

Hilarious: "Nobody is surprised that Democrats really, really want to beat Trump, because they think all kinds of hallucinatory tyrannies will befall the Nation and Our Democracy™ if Trump gets in and does another round of corporate tax cuts or something."

Thanks Michael. One shudders to think what could happen if anyone handed Biden a drink. On the other hand, perhaps we can conclude the world is safe after 8pm DC time, when the President is apparently asleep.
