Hey everybody. Just wanted to drop a quick note and let you know that I’m flying to Poland tonight. I was getting sick of staying cooped up in my New Jersey apartment while a history-defining event is unfolding in Europe, with grave implications for the US and world. So, I’m heading out.

It's a damn site more dangerous than infiltrating the collegiate lockdown territory but lucky us you are so driven to seek primary sources and arrive at your own conclusions. You always have the spine and the sense to stand up to one sided narratives is heaped on us.
Michael I just want to say I really respect how you always "walk the walk" as a journalist. You obviously have your initial stances and biases, as any journalist does, but you're not content to just blather your opinions into the void based on what you're seeing online: plenty of people complained about the carnage and destruction of property during the BLM riots, but you actually went out and documented it. Others have also been criticizing the West/NATO-apologetic coverage of this war, but you're actually making the effort to go out there and get the story. That means a lot and I really admire that about you.

Your actions remind me of Hemingway and Spain in the '30's.
As far as I know, he just up and went there; I don't think he had anyone underwriting him on that jaunt.
If I'm wrong, BFD b/c Hemingway didn't take an entourages of 'producers' or whatever with him; it was just him, his typewriter and some clothes.
