Fun fact: Tara got Community Noted on her post accusing MT of not answering her question. Kind of awesome.

Cenk demanding greater powers and pace of arrest from police.

This guy from 2020:

"I'm now supporting #DefundThePolice 100%. I already agreed with the substance of the argument & now I'm down for the framing, too."

What an idiot

John CarameI's avatar

Also, does Ana Kasparian want people to be able to prostitute themselves or not?

2013:

“if you have two consenting adults wanting to exchange money for sex, why the hell not? It's amazing that we have like this huge porn industry in the country and as long as they do it in front of a camera, it's totally fine.“

The “sex work is work” crowd clutching their pearls and switching from “sex workers” to “victims” whenever it suits them is another contradiction they need to contend with.

It's always amazed me that our crack press continues to call espstein a pedophile. he decidedly was not. pedophiles are into prepubescent children. that was not his thing. he's horrible, yes, but not a pedophile.

xkry's avatar

Well Kiriakou (of Epstein podcasting fame) claims that sleeping with a 17 year old is or should be exactly the same (both legally and morally) as performing sex acts with a 4 year old. Engage with some Epstein people and you'll find many of them think the age of consent should be OVER 18 (21 or older) and that any sex act between anyone more than 3/5/10 years of age difference (e.g., a 30 y/o and a 50 y/o) should be ipso facto considered rape if not outright pedophilia.

Basically they are lunatics.

Robert Lindsay's avatar

They’ve conflated sexual preference for little kids, a disorder, with normal male attraction to 15-17 year old girls. They’ve also conflated child molestation of little kids with statutory rape or legal adult-minor sex. This manifests in a lot of ways.

Robert Lindsay's avatar

It’s pedohysteria. It’s a classic moral panic or mass hysteria. Worse I have found that ALL of these people think any sex between an adult and a minor is pedophilia and the man is a pedophile.

That means 18 year old man and 17 year old girl! And everyone is saying that all of these men need to be killed or thrown in woodchippers! Wow!

And almost ALL liberal and Left people are exactly like this. They are also the ones who want to raise the age of consent beyond 18!

They’re the ones who obsess over age gaps and power differentials and even refer to adult sex as pedophilia if there is a big age gap, as in, the older man is a pedophile.

Robert Lindsay's avatar

Correct all the pedohysterics think exactly like this.

Robert Lindsay's avatar

Tim he was actually a hebephile! Diagnosed by interview. “When they put the braces come off, I lose all interest.” That’s exactly what a hebephile would say. Preference for 12-14 or 12-15 year old girls. Basically they like them around puberty or thereabouts.

New Way's avatar

I believe not only does it have to be prepubescent sexual desire but it has to be exclusively so. And I’m pretty sure you need to have performed the act, not just desired to do so, prior to qualifying for the label.

Robert Lindsay's avatar

It has to be a preference, either exclusive or predominant. I’m sorry to report that 21% of men report strong pedophilic attraction, but only 15% are actual pedophiles. The rest have strong attraction to mature females also.

Veikko Suvanto's avatar

One can be a pedophile without engaging in sex with children, much as one can be a homosexual or a heterosexual while remaining a virgin, too. The term is loosely used to mean a child molester, of course, but in its strict medical definition engaging in sexual acts is not necessary for qualifying for it.

New Way's avatar

I was thinking of Pedophilic Disorder, I didn't realize pedophilia was different.

Michael, Please. You are not doing yourself any favors at all by the way you present yourself. Kryptogal recently described you as looking like Ron Jeremy’s brother. Seriously, if you are going to be the face of Epstein skepticism, stop looking like a sex criminal yourself.

1. Get a haircut, or at least comb your hair. Do you own a brush?

2. You are one of those men with very dark hair who gets a 5:00 shadow at 10 AM. Either grow a nice, well-managed beard or shave immediately before public appearances. The stubble look does not become you. This is not the 80s and you are not Don Johnson.

3. Wear a collared shirt and a tie.

More long-term, consider a gym membership.

lookdonttouch's avatar

Re., your beside-the-point comment, do you really believe "sex criminals" look a particular way?

Pete McCutchen's avatar

No, but Mr. Tracey’s self-presentation does his ideas no favors.

Mary Makary's avatar

Tracey looks like what he is.

Al Green's avatar

A shoe leather journalist of the old school with some actual integrity. Yes, he looks like that.

Pete McCutchen's avatar

More seriously, as a strictly analytical matter, you are correct. An argument is compelling or not compelling based on the reasoning and evidence behind it. A good argument is a good argument, even if the person making it is overweight, poorly-dressed, and unkempt. But in practice, most people aren’t spergy analytical types like you, able to cleanly separate the message and the messenger. There is a reason why people on TV take the time to look professional. Mr Tracey is mostly correct about the quality of evidence regarding this whole hysteria, but looking like Ron Jeremy’s younger brother does not make him more persuasive to ordinary people.

This is an unkind thing to say, but it’s also true. Nor do his extremely lengthy and self-indulgent conversations with Hanania advance his cause.

Al Green's avatar

I take people who don't preen and obsess over their personal appearance far more seriously than shallow obsessives who confuse presentation for content. Because I don't have the mind of a child.

Markus's avatar

You are overstating things. He looks like real journalists used to look in the old days. A JD Vance like beard and comb would do him well. As far as getting on big shows and podcasts, the main problem to further platforming him is his tendency to filibuster during debates. Producers like the exciting energy he brings, but he would be more effective letting his opponents get a word in so as to demonstrate their vapidity and irrationality. I like his Hanania shows a lot, that's where I first heard him talk about this. Overall, Tracey is doing well. Assuming no truly horrific new Epstein evidence comes to light, time is going to be very kind to Tracey.

How about Young Turks going full retard and claiming Maxwell was involved in 9/11

The Gray Man's avatar

LOL YOU'RE RIGHT:

https://share.google/aimode/3CdxPXRx4M0BRrbij

In a recent segment on The Young Turks, host Cenk Uygur discussed newly released documents from the Jeffrey Epstein files that allegedly mention Ghislaine Maxwell in connection with a "shadow" 9/11 commission.

The discussion centered on the following points:

Shadow Commission Invitation: The segment, titled "BOMBSHELL Email Ties Ghislaine Maxwell To 9/11," highlights an email suggesting Maxwell was invited to participate in an unofficial or "shadow" commission related to the 9/11 attacks.

Latest Epstein File Release: These details emerged as part of a broader release of documents in early February 2026, which also included transcripts of Maxwell's depositions and interviews.

Media Commentary: The Young Turks' coverage has analyzed these ties as part of their ongoing reporting on the influence and connections of the Epstein circle.

While the show has reported on these specific document entries, critics and viewers have characterized the coverage as entertaining conspiracy theories regarding Maxwell's direct involvement in the events of 9/11.

Yeah I watched Uygur’s segment. He never mentions the context. The shadow commission was formed by the late Edward J Epstein , it had no official endorsement from the government and the email asking Maxwell about ‘where’s the pilot” was answered in a follow up email. Maxwell landed in Santa Monica in a helicopter and the person she was communicating with was asking her where her helicopter pilot was. It literally had nothing to do with 9/11. Proof that Uygur is simply playing a fool to get click bait or weave low information viewers into his web of conspiracy theories

The Gray Man's avatar

Yep it's just the hot thing to talk about, I do think half the people talking about it in the nudes literally just need to say what's the Hot topic rather than start saying what's right cuz you do need clicks and you do need people watching and sharing your stuff

I can't fault everybody for that all the time but there is a point that it gets kind of absurd

bad vassal's avatar

Not that you should care, but I have a great appreciation for the work you've done on this Epstein fiasco. I quietly feel vindication each time you weigh in on this story.

The same people 30 years ago: “Everybody knows that satanic cults are performing human sacrifice and molesting children. There’s a mountain of evidence of it and testimony from the children who witnessed it. McMartin Preschool, Kelly Michaels, Fells Acres Daycare, we know they’re all guilty.”

The Gray Man's avatar

Funny, once again people NEVER READ THE DOCUMENTS, nor looked into WHO AND WHEN things were said. It isn't hard.

You'll also notice that most people here saying that never cared about it back in the day either, in fact Epstein was kind of new to them in 2019. I had been on it for almost 10 years already. You know what I used to do? I saw documentaries where the crazy "escort" said things that would change the next month in the Daily Mail when she'd get interviewed again .

and Epstein's handyman who tried to sell his Rolodex as if it had some kind of amazing Worth to it, which I think started a little bit of the myth that there was this client list... Although that actually never appeared until 2023 or 2024, it was a holy Grail myth

Michael Tracey, do you think that women should have to endure rape and sexual harassment just to exist in public?

Exile from the Future's avatar

Actually, the main journalist in the world who seems clueless about Epstein is Michael Tracey. Every other journalist I follow (and I have been following many for years) disagrees strongly with Michael. If Michael isn't getting a large paycheck from Mossad, he is a fool. Here's some advice: When you've dug yourself into a hole, it's time to quit digging.

Autistic Meme's avatar

I wonder if there is anyone capable of refuting Michael without resorting to ad hominem and conspiratorial accusations.

Exile from the Future's avatar

Michael is the one resorting to ad hominem and conspiratiratorial accusations, not me and his other critics. He engages in cheap name calling and keeps referring to as us ill-informed nuts just trying to make money off our attention-grabbing hyperbole. It doesn't pay, but here's what does pay and it pays big time: supporting Israeli genocide. From your clowinsh Trump-look-alike picture and a few posts that I glanced at, it is apparent that you have a man-crush on the Donald, which makes you a fascist. Sorry if that sounds ad hominem. I know nothing about you personally and you may be a nice guy, but your views disgust me.

xkry's avatar

"I am not resorting to ad hominem and conspiratorial accusations I am [proceeds to resort to ad hominem and conspiratorial accusations]."

“All the experts agree!”

Jane L's avatar

Michael, you do yourself and your point of view no favors by letting your emotions get the better of you in these interviews/discussions. While you're right in what you say, it's not going to be received as such by the audience that doesn't necessarily know what you know.

When debating people like Palmeri, attack the argument, not the person. Otherwise, they win through optics.

I say this as someone who loves your work and am thankful that you're out there putting the facts out there. I want you to get the applause you deserve on the public stage, but to do so, you need to talk to the world like you do with Richard Hanania, not Tara Palmeri.

Cheers!

Chris's avatar

So you're being paid by pedophiles, right?

Or do you do this pro-bono?

Tardigrade's avatar

Tangential to this topic, I noticed more mainstream news people are referring to Epstein as a "sex offender" rather than a "pedophile". Maybe it's your influence :)

Robert Lindsay's avatar

This is excellent! Let’s throw this pedophile in the trash where it belongs.

Siobhan's avatar

You Tracey are the most clueless about Epstein

Beauregard_IV's avatar

Michael, since you are a former Young Turks reporter/employee can you confirm or dispel a rumor about the place? Heard tell Cenk Uiygher averages about 10 bowel movements annually. His grunts, especially before using words like "Monsterous" are actually attempts at overcoming constipation.
